The UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) will be increasing its fees from 1st April 2026, with the official fee for filing a UK trade mark application (online) rising from £170 for a single Class to £205, and with UK trade mark renewals rising from £200 for a single Class to £245. Additional Class fees will rise from £50 to £60 (per Class).

This is the first time an increase in fees has been seen at the UKIPO since 1998 for trade marks and 2016 for designs.

We recommend reviewing your trade mark and design portfolios before the 1st April 2026 date where possible, and to file any new applications ideally before the new fee structure comes into effect.

If you have any questions on the changes in the UKIPO fees, please get in touch with us.
